OUR PROCESSING OF YOUR INFORMATION
Hello! We are Endurance Zone and we are responsible for the Fitness Day Rewards app.
The app will collect and send us some of the information that you put into it and some other information about you. This page has been made for kids under 13 years old.
You should read this page along with your parent or guardian before using our app.
If you are aged under six you must not use the app because it has things in it which are too old for you.
If you are 13 years old or older, or a parent, we have other information that gives more detail and which is designed for you, see:
If you are aged 13 to 17: https://www.endurancezone.com/national-fitness-day-app-privacy-policy-13-17
If you are a parent, guardian or adult: https://www.endurancezone.com/national-fitness-day-app-privacy-policy
If you do not live in the UK, you must not use this app because it is not designed for you.
This app and your information
When you use the app, we collect a few bits of information about you. This includes:
• your name, your email address and the date that you were born on
• whether you are a boy or a girl, if you choose to give this information to us
• where you are when you are using the app
• information you enter to open and use the app (also called your username and password)
• the way that you use the app and the things that you like and don’t like
• what exercises or activity you are doing, if you choose to give this information to us
• information about the device that you use the app on
We do not collect any pictures or videos taken using the camera and we do not collect any information about medical conditions or your health.
The information that we collect about you depends on how you use the app and it might be the case that we only collect some of the information above or we might collect it all, depending on what you do with the app.
Unless we tell you that you have a choice, we need to collect and use this information for you to use the app.
However, sometimes we are able to give you the choice of whether you want to give us your information and let us use it. Where that is the case we will tell you and let you say no before you give the information to us. We will also tell you whether saying no will have any effect on your use of the app.
Adult support
You should speak to your parent or another adult that you trust if you don’t understand anything that we have just told you, or if you are worried about anything when you are using the app.
If you are a parent, guardian or adult, click https://www.endurancezone.com/national-fitness-day-app-privacy-policy for a full detailed privacy notice explaining how your child’s information will be protected and used.
Working out where you are using the app — location services/data
The app will ask you whether you are happy for it to work out where you are.
If you are under 13, you must ask your parent or guardian to give this permission for you. This is to protect you, because information about where you are can be very sensitive.
For your own safety and protection, only let your parent or guardian give the permission—do not do this yourself.
If you do not want us to know where you are, you can still use the app.
How we collect information about you
We collect information:
• from you when connect your activity tracker (like a Fitbit or Apple Watch) to our app;
• by collecting details of the things that you do on the app, and
• by collecting information from the device that you use the app on.
How and why we use your information
The reasons we rely on to use your information are:
• the law says we must
• we have agreed to provide you with a service
• we have a good reason to use your information and that use doesn’t go against any of the important rights that you have over your information (this type of good reason is described by the law as our ‘legitimate interests’). If this is the case, we will think carefully about our needs and your needs to make sure we are being fair and have got the balance right. You can ask for us to explain the reasons that we have for using your information by contacting us at [email protected].
• because your parent or guardian has given consent.
The table below explains what we use your information for and why we are allowed to use it.
Protecting your information
We know you don’t want your information to be seen or used by people who do not need it, or in ways which you might not expect or which might hurt you in some way.
We will work hard to protect your information to stop those things happening. We will also use strong security to protect your information.
You should not share your password or account details with anyone other than your parents or guardian. If you do, other people may be able to get all the information you have entered using the app.
The app will warn you if you are doing or changing things that may pose greater risks to you. You should speak to a parent or guardian when the app tells you to.
We also do not transfer your information outside of the United Kingdom (UK). If we do need to transfer your information outside of the UK, we will make sure that the country your information is being transferred to gives enough protection for your information.
Who else sees your information
The app is available in the Apple ITunes and App stores & Google Play store for people to get. Some of your information that is collected by the app is shared with Apple and Google. If you would like to know more about how Apple, and Google uses your information click https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/ and https://play.google.com/about/play-terms .
We work with some other companies that help us to make sure that the app works as it is supposed to and to run our business. We will often share your information with those other companies but we will only do this when we really need to. We will make sure that those other companies keep your information safe.
How long we keep your information
Different bits of your information will be kept for different periods of time. Ask your parent or guardian to contact us if you want to know more about what information we hold and for how long.
When we do not need your information anymore, we will safely delete it or change it so it can no longer be linked to you.
Particular risks and how we address them
We will give extra protection to some of your information:
• your name, your email address and your date of birth (the day that you were born): we are very careful with this information because we want to stop people using it to pretend to be you. They might also use this information to try to contact you when you don’t want them to
• information about where you are: if other people knew this information they might use it to find out where you are or where you have been. This could allow people to spy on what you have been up to, or even try to visit you
We, and the other companies we work with, will protect these types of information by using extra passwords and only letting a small number of our very trust worthy people see that information.
Your rights over your information
You usually have the right over your information to ask us:
• for a copy of your information
• to correct any mistakes or things that we have got wrong about you in your information
• to delete your information
• to stop using your information entirely or in some ways, for example if you think the information we have is wrong or if we aren’t treating your information as the law tells us to
• to send you a copy of your information in a way that makes it easy for you to use again or send to someone else or to ask us to send a copy of your information to someone else (maybe another company or a different app)
Sometimes, it might not be possible for us to do what you ask. If this happens, we’ll explain why.
If you or your parent or guardian would like to ask us to do any of the things that we have just explained to you, you can email, call or write to us. You can find out how you can contact us [INSERT LINK TO CONTACT US].
